About Musician and Kids' Entertainer Tracey Eldridge

" are typical reactions to Tracey's multi-dimensional and interactive musical performances. Performer Tracey Eldridge is a much sought-after in the Mid-Atlantic region, loved and admired by her young audiences and highly respected by her peers in both the entertainment and educational communities. Proficient on several instruments and in a wide spectrum of musical styles, she has studied, performed, and taught music for more than 25 years. Her energetic and interactive kids' performances have delighted countless children and parents at concerts, libraries, schools, malls, "Kid's Clubs", community centers, camps, corporate events, and children's birthday parties. She infuses creative play, puppetry, and interactive music with gleanings from her decades of experience in clowning, theatre, and movement. With unbridled enthusiasm and contagious exuberance Tracey motivates children of all ages to participate without self-consciousness. For preschool, pre-K, kindergarten, elementary, and middle school audiences she offers a variety of fun interactive educational programs descriptions of which can be found on this site. In addition to performing educational musical programs, Tracey entertains for just plain fun as a balloon twister, a face painter, musical entertainer, and sometimes a clown. About "NEVER MIND THE RAIN"
Tracey's children's CD is tons of positive listening, singing, and dancing fun for kids of all ages... for ALL kinds of weather! NEVER MIND THE RAIN has garnered some of the most prestigious children's music industry awards including Parent's Choice Gold and NAPPA Gold awards. It features 14 of Tracey's original songs, many of which have won awards in songwriting contests including the International Songwriting Competition, John Lennon Songwriting Contest, Great American Song Contest, and others. Several styles of Americana are represented with hope of teaching kids about their musical heritage. Styles include boogie woogie, zydeco, Dixieland jazz, haoa haole hula, a traditional train song, banjo/fiddle, reggae, and more. Captured on the CD are instrumental and backup vocal performances by 15 of the Baltimore/DC area's finest musicians, plus a handful of tracks by friends in the San Francisco Bay area. The amazing Brian Simms (JUNKYARD SAINTS, SPEAKERS OF THE HOUSE) produced what became a few of Tracey's favorite tunes on the project. He also contributed wonderful horn arrangements, great accordion playing, vocal coaching, and invaluable moral support. Producer Mookie Siegel graced the project with his musical genius, tasty piano playing, zany humor, fun cartoon voices and, as the perfect finishing touch, some really cool sound effects. The finished product is terrific and timeless.
